Plenty other office space available in city
I AM writing in response to the letter from Puzzled about the Waterfront office block and the potential benefits.
Yes, I agree that more should be done to keep potential tourists in the city for long weekends etc but as we only have bars and restaurants, it is a tall order as most major cities in Scotland also have regular theatre productions and a cinema complex.
With regard to the office block and the apartment availability, why would you buy a property in the middle of a busy traffic area which could result in not being able to open your windows because of the pollution?
There is office availability in Seagate, Greenmarket, Perth Road and also unoccupied units at the old General Accident building etc.
So you proceed with a £15.5 million office block with only the possibility that you may get the investment and be able to sell the flats?
