Kirkwood Homes has proposed building 150 three, four and five-bedroom properties on land just off the A92, at Linlathen Road, in Broughty Ferry.

Of the 150 homes, 30 would be terraced or semi-detached and 120 would be detached.

The developer held a public consultation event in November, where residents got a look at the plans.

Ninety people attended the event and Kirkwood said that, as a result, it already has 350 potential buyers lined up.

Residents have previously raised concerns the area would not be able to cope with the new homes.

The company, which has released a new image of the proposal, previously applied for 150 homes at the same site in 2016, but this was rejected by Dundee City Council amid fears of

Mr Crombie said: “Following the hugely successful and well-attended event in November, we are again looking forward to welcoming all those who are interested in what we have planned at Linlathen.

“The positive feedback we received at the first session was overwhelming, and we have had more than 350 potential buyers register an interest for a home on the site.

“Once again, we ask everyone to take the opportunity to come along and view the plans. Members of the project team will be available throughout to answer any questions.

“I would also like to take the opportunity to thank those who have so far involved themselves in the consultation process. The comments and feedback received to date have gone a long way in helping us to fine tune our proposal, with Tuesday’s event a further opportunity to do so.”

The exhibition will be held at Panmurefield Baptist Centre, in Lawers Drive, from 3pm-7pm.

THE public has once again been urged to give its views on a new housing development.
