Glaciers insight
PROFESSOR Colin Ballantyne, one of the world’s leading geomorphologists, will offer an insight into the effects of glaciers on the scenery of Scotland during a visit to Perth Theatre on Tuesday.
He is appearing as part of t he Royal Scottish Geographical Society’s Inspiring People talks programme and will explore the climate changes of the last ice age, with subjects include the ice sheet that covered Scotland 25,000 years ago, the effects of its retreat and the Loch Lomond glaciation that occurred 11,000 years ago.
The talk begins at 7.30pm. Tickets will be available at the door.
