Woman found guilty

A WOMAN has been found guilty after a jury trial of assaulting her partner with a knife.

Borghild Townsley, 36, of Buttar’s Loan, was found guilty by a majority verdict of assaulting Frank Needham by repeatedly striking him on the head and body with a knife to his injury at Buttar’s Loan on November 12 2016, while on bail.

Sheriff Tom Hughes deferred sentence until February 2 and Townsley was granted bail.
