Historian to give talk
DUNDEE Civic Trust’s monthly talk will take place on Thursday at Dundee Art Society, where Simon Green will give a talk on Camperdown House, entitled The Scottish Blenheim?
The city landmark is one of the most important Greek Revival houses in Scotland and the talk will also cover the work of its architect William Burn. Simon Green is an architectural historian working for Historic Environment Scotland.
He is also researching the architecture of the baronial and arts and crafts movements in the country, and is president of the Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland.
The talk, at the society’s base in Roseangle, starts at 7pm and is open to all, with a small charge for non-members.
