Pipe burst sets up top-of-table clash
DUE to play at Guthrie Park being ruled out and burst pipes in theTulloch Park dressing-rooms, two of tomorrow’s North League fixtures have been re-arranged.
That now means leaders North End will host a top-of-the-table clash against Kinnoull, who are third.
After 10 wins on the trot, the Dokens will start favourites. Apart from Michael Stewart, boss Ross Lunan has a full pool to choose from, including Ryan Hunter, who is free of suspension.
The Perth side are without Tom and Greg Whyte, Jordan Davidson and keeper Macaulay Jarret.
Two hoped-for new signings at Tulloch Park have yet to materialise.
Meanwhile, instead of facing leaders North End, Forfar Albion will now travel to Blairgowrie.
Improving Albion should have a full squad available, as do the Berrypickers.
New Violet boss John Dunn saw his side in action for the first time inTuesday’s friendly against Broughty.
Although they lost 5-0, the new man in charge was happy to see his players get a run-out and has set his sights on catching North End.
He said: “I was disappointed our game against Forfar Albion was postponed but we have to push on and catch North End at the top. “That starts tomorrow against Coupar Angus.” Due to a frozen surface at Foxhall Park, this game has been switched to Glenesk.
Jake Tulloch is Coupar’s only absentee.
