ALAN Gilzean, Jocky Scott, Gordon Wallace, Ian Ure, Claudio Caniggia, Bob Shankly, Barry Smith and Bobby Cox will soon be joined by five new faces in the Dundee Hall of Fame.

And the Dark Blues support are being asked to vote for two of the following six players to be inducted as legends.

To choose from, there are internationals, a former club captain as well as League Cup and title-winning heroes.

They’ll be joined by another three former players selected by the club to be inducted on Friday, February 9.

So, who will you vote for?

Robert Connor (1984-86)

Connor was the club’s only international throughout the entirety of the 80s and 90s as he lined up for Scotland against the Netherlands in May 1986.

Connor arrived at Dens in 1984, bought from Ayr for £50,000 by Archie Knox, bringing class, skill and creativity to the Dundee midfield.

He endeared himself to fans with a derby winner in Dundee’s first home win over United in six years in 1985.

Cammy Fraser (1980-84 & 1991-92)

A Fintry boy, Fraser was an inspirational captain in the early 80s who helped Dundee to promotion from the First Division and a place in the 1980 League Cup Final.

He would return after spells at Rangers and Raith to help the Dark Blues to the 1991-92 First Division title. In all, the midfielder featured 179 times in dark blue.

Tosh McKinlay (1981-88)

A classy left-back with attacking flair, McKinlay played more than 200 times for Dundee during his seven-year spell.

He scored nine times, including a stunner in a famous derby win over Dundee United in 1984 — his record against the Tangerines of seven wins and six draws certainly didn’t hurt his popularity at Dens Park.

McKinlay left for Hearts and then Celtic and was capped for Scotland on 22 occasions, playing in Euro 96 and at 1998 World Cup in France.

Bobby Robinson (1972-78)

Nicknamed “Trigger” for his sharp turn of pace, Robinson was a class act in midfield for the Dark Blues in the 70s.

The midfielder was part of the League Cup-winning side in 1974 and narrowly missed out on a place in the 1974 World Cup team, having been part of Willie
