CUT OUT MISTAKES SAYS SKIPPER IMRIE

-

HAMILTON skipper Dougie Imrie is looking to get his side back on track when 10th-placed Dundee travel to the Lanarkshire club tomorrow.

Accies suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Hearts on Wednesday night which kept them in ninth place in the Premiership, six points ahead of bottom side Ross County, having played a game less.

The former I nverness, Morton and St Mirren player said: “We are all i n it together but we are not giving ourselves a chance at the moment.

“We have to try to cut out the mistakes.

“If not, we are going to find ourselves in a tricky position in the weeks to come.”

Imrie is also confident Hamilton’s Greg Docherty, who signed for Rangers yesterday (see page 36), has the potential to become a Scotland star in the future.

The 34-year-old attacker said: “He has the ability to do it, he just needs to believe in himself and I am sure he will, he is that kind of player.

“He is level-headed and I am sure he will go there and give it his best shot and if he does that I am sure he will be a great player for Rangers.

“It is great for him, great for the club and hopefully in the years to come it will be beneficial for Scotland.

“I am sure that’s what Greg wants to do, get into the international scene.

“He has worked really hard and I wish him all the best.”
