Lessons in how to save a life

HEARTSTART Discovery is running free two-hour training sessions in emergency life support f or members of the public across Tayside throughout March.

The classes are running in Blairgowri­e on March 7, Per th on March 17, Montrose on March 19, Dundee on March 21, Montrose on March 23 and Arbroath on March 30.

There are also places left in the class in Carnoustie on Tuesday, which will run from 7pm-9pm.

No medical knowledge is required for the classes and being able to perform these emergency actions gives a casualty the best possible chance of survival until emergency services arrive.

The sessions cover CPR as well as administer­ing care in other emergency situations.
