Confident Dokens face Berrypickers

-

BLAIRGOWRIE will be the latest club to try to halt North End’s winning run of 14 games when they meet at Davie Park in the North League.

However, confidence in the Dokens camp is sky high and it would be no surprise if they repeat the three points they picked up when they won 3-1 at North End Park earlier in the season. Michael Stewart is the Dokens only absentee.

Blairgowrie have a squad of 16 available which includes the returning Robbie Hood, James Simpson and Matt Adams. However, Gordon Pirie and Greg McDonald are missing.

Violet slipped up with their challenge to the leaders when a sub standard show at Kinnoull saw the Pansies lose ground with a 1-0 loss.

They will be out to ensure they raise their performance for the trip to face Lochore.

Their promotion hopes boosted by last week’s win, Kinnoull know they cannot afford any slip-ups at home to Brechin Vics. The Perth side are without David Gray and Ben Ragan. Greg Whyte, Daz Gray, George Hughes and Mark Smith face fitness tests.

Vics win over Arbroath last week came at a cost and, with three out, they are severely depleted.

East Craigie were 2-1 winners when they last met Scone Thistle. With home advantage, the Shipbuilders will be confident of completing the double.

The victory did have its consequences, however, with Cammy Christie picking up an ankle knock which will keep him out.

Scone are minus Ross and Craig Mitchell and Charlie Fertacz.

There is no respite for Harp manager Michael Gormley as he once again struggles for a squad for their home game against Luncarty.

Sam McDonald, Jay Smart, Mark Kelly, Sam Hodgson, James Cochrane and Frankie Mullen are out injured while Connaire Connelly is banned.

Luncarty head to Lochee Harp. They are still without suspended keeper Gordon Chalmers.

A late decision will be made on Stuart Nicol who has an ankle injury. Ritchie Montgomery is out ill and Steve McAllistair is unavailable

Coupar Angus are at home to Forfar Albion. They are minus Tom Casey and Alex Gibb. Jake Tulloch is an injury doubt.

Arbroath Vics host Newburgh. Their squad is unlikely to differ greatly from the one which lost at Brechin Vics.
