Dundee can Celtic cold
DUNDEE midfielder Mark O’Hara insists the Dark Blues can overcome champions Celtic after an energy-sapping few days for the Glasgow side.
Brendan Rodgers’ men crashed out of the Europa League at the round of 32 stage last Thursday night and followed that up with a 2-0 Premiership win away at Aberdeen on Sunday.
Rounding off their tough week, the Celts will take on Dundee following Neil McCann’s side’s 1-0 l oss to Motherwell at Dens.
It was a game the Dee dominated but, once again, failed to get a result.
They did the same to Celtic at Parkhead back in October but the Hoops won through thanks to an Olivier Ntcham strike.
O’Hara, however, insists they can have the beating of them this time.
“Everybody was numb i n t he changing-room on Saturday,” the 22-year-old said.
“Even the manager’s come in and said ‘I can’t really criticise you, you’ve given everything there’.
“It’s our luck at times that’s lacking more than anything else, it’s disappointing and, hopefully, it will turn for us at one point.
“I think the week before at Partick with the late goals we thought we had a starting point, we’ve gone from such a high to such a low.
“We need to pick ourselves up and go again tomorrow.
“One of the big problems has been consistency. It’s been hard to put a finger on it. At times the performances have been there and results haven’t gone our way.
“Saturday epitomises that, it’s been a bit like what our season has been so far. It’s very fine margins.
“Last time at Parkhead we were very unlucky not to get something from the game.
“Obviously, Celtic let you play which I think suits us. A lot of the teams it’s more about stopping you than them playing themselves.
“I think we’ll get our chances at Parkhead, it’s a good pitch and we’re looking forward to it.
“They’ve had a tough, tiring run of games, with three in six days, so we’re hoping to catch them cold and get three points.”
Including tomorrow night’s trip to Glasgow’s east end, Dundee face tough tests against top-six sides Aberdeen,
