-

ST JOHNSTONE midfield man Murray Davidson will be fit enough to play i n Wednesday’s rearranged away game against Kilmarnock.

The combative Davidson sustained t wo heavy knocks i n t he opening minutes of Saints’ 4-1 home reverse against Rangers but the McDiarmid Park club’s manager Tommy Wright said t he f ormer Livingston player will be OK.

“Murray took knocks but will be fine for Kilmarnock. He got stood on by Jamie Murphy after a challenge.

“I don’t t hink it was anything other than accidental but his foot has landed on Murray’s knee and he took a sore one,” said Tommy.

The other knock was a head one sustained in an aerial challenge.

Saints have other concerns, though, but Scott Tanser is not one of them as he has recovered from the illness which kept him out against Rangers.

Stefan Scougall and Richard Foster are out for the season due to ankle and hamstring i njuries and C a l l u m H e n d r y, D av i d McMillan, Keith Watson and Brian Easton are also likely to be missing due to injuries.

McMillan hasn’t had the best of luck since joining St Johnstone in the January transfer window from Dundalk.

He made his debut in the home 3-1 l oss against Partick Thistle on January 27.

In his 10 minutes on the park before being taken off injured, he forced a save from Jags keeper Tomas Cerny and won the penalty from which Liam Craig scored.

He received head and hamstring injuries in the incident which led to the spot-kick and has been out ever since . He is not expected t o return f or another two-three weeks.
