‘Ignore resale sites’

Tickets to see pop singer on sale at inflated prices

- By Amy HAll

TICKETS to see pop superstar Rita Ora are changing hands on resale sites for as much as £100.

The Your Song singer announced a surprise summer show at the city’s Slessor Gardens last week.

The open-air concert, on Saturday July 28, is the former X Factor judge’s only show on the east coast of Scotland this year, alongside just a handful of other UK dates.

Tickets for the hotly anticipated concert are currently still available for sale at the face value price of £39.50 for general admission or £55 for access to the golden circle.

Adam Webb, FanFair Alliance campaign manager said: “Rita Ora fans should ignore the siren call of so-called secondary sites like Viagogo, StubHub and Get Me In — all of which were censured by the ASA this week for misleading pricing practices.

“Face value tickets for the Slessor Gardens show are still available through authorised agents like The Ticket Factory and Eventim UK — both of which also offer consumer-friendly resale services. We also recommend downloading the ticket-buying guide from the FanFair Alliance website.”

On the announcement, Rita said: “I cannot wait to perform in Dundee.

“My Scottish fans are always up for a good time and I am going to bring it — see you there.”

Fresh from her performance at the Brit Awards, the 27-year-old is set to play songs from her extensive catalogue of hits such as How We Do, R.I.P. and For You — the title track from Fifty Shades of Grey alongside Liam Payne.

Rita’s concert joins a number of events planned for the Waterfront venue this year.

Steps will take to the stage alongside Blue and Aqua in June for a throwback concert.

Simple Minds, The Pretenders and KT Tunstall will also be live at Slessor Gardens in September with tickets still available.
