Uni teams rise to the challenge
LORD Sugar was i n St Andrews in spirit when teams from the university’s estates and IT departments rose to Apprenticestyle challenges.
A group of 15 apprentices was set tasks similar to those in the hit television show, including tracking down the university’s famous maces and scoring basketball hoops at its sports centre.
The event was held to raise awareness of the success and benefits of schemes during Scottish Apprenticeship Week.
Teams of three were also challenged to take group selfies wearing tartan on the Swilken Bridge and to make 60-second films about themselves before having their efforts judged i n the dreaded boardroom.
Points were awarded for how well tasks were fulfilled, as well as ingenuity and creativity.
The winning team was awarded £150 of Amazon vouchers, donated by QA Apprenticeships, which provides training for IT services apprentices.
