game and I think the point didn’t do us enough justice, we could have got the three points.
“Their keeper had a good performance and sometimes that’s the difference. If a keeper’s on his game, even when you break a team down it can be hard.
“Now we look forward to Inverness and getting three points — if we play the way I think we can.
“The aim is to go for wins. As long as we keep going in that manner we can get a few wins and keep moving forward.”
For the U/21 international the switch to Tannadice has meant a return to first-team football for the first time since September.
He’s started United’s last couple of games and, with two games a week to come for the rest of his stay, he knows he’s facing a physical challenge. It’s one he’s up for.
“The reason I’m here is games are coming thick and fast. I came here to get game time and I’m enjoying every minute of it.
“Hopefully, I can continue until the end of the season and it will set me up nicely for when I go back to Celtic for pre-season.
“Inverness are a good team but I’m sure all the boys here have every confidence going into the game.”
Used at right-back on his debut against Queen of the South, Ralston was moved forward to the right side of midfield at the weekend and he admits he’s comfortable in both roles.
“I enjoy the attacking side of the game. It’s a hard shift but it’s a task I want because it’s good for the fitness and I want to be up there.”
