Harp must plug a leaky back line

-

NORTH League leaders North End head for Downfield Park to face Lochee Harp.

The Dokens will be favourites to get back to winning after dropping two points at Kinnoull last week. Michael Stewart is their only absentee.

Harp boss Michael Gormley has been working hard to eradicate a defensive problem which has seen them concede 17 goals in their last three matches.

Sam McDonald, Mark Kelly and Sam Hodgson are out injured while Darren Brown is unavailable and Connaire Connelly is suspended.

East Craigie travel to face Brechin Vics and, on current form, will be favourites to pick up the points.

The Shipbuilders are undefeated in their last three matches and, with a 6-1 victory already under their belts against their opponents this season, will be confident of stretching their run. Robert Smith is again missing but everyone else is fit.

Vics rely on the same squad beaten by Scone Thistle last week.

Coupar Angus welcome second-placed Violet in what is stern test for Logan McConnachie’s men.

But the Foxhall boss believes if they produce their top form, springing a surprise is not beyond them.

With Alex Gibb free from suspension,McConnachie has a full squad.

Blairgowrie tackle Arbroath Vics at Davie Park and late fitness tests will be the order of the day for both.

Luncarty host fourth-bottom Lochore as they look to maintain their promotion challenge.

The Bleachers’ home form is excellent, having dropped just two points in eight games and last week beating Premier League Dalkeith.

Goalkeeper Gordon Chalmers remains suspended while Richie Montgomery is still sidelined by injury.
