Remanded in custody

THOMAS Cassidy, 31, of Longtown Place, denied driving while more than three times the alcohol limit.

It is alleged he drove his car on the Kingsway on March 30 with excess alcohol (70 mics).

He is also accused of driving without insurance and without a licence at the same place on the same date.

Cassidy denied the charges and Sheriff Tom Hughes fixed a trial date for April 25 with an intermediate diet on April 17 and remanded him in custody.
