Hearing loss advice sessions

-

A CHARITY is encouraging elderly people in Dundee to learn more about hearing aids and make sure they have access to the full range of support available to help manage hearing loss.

Action on Hearing Loss Scotland’s new service, Hear to Inform and Connect, aims to reduce isolation among older people.

It is running a “one, two, three” campaign to spread the word about the kind of support that people are entitled to. Sessions will take place in libraries across the city next week.

The service will be in Kirkton on Monday (10amnoon), before Tuesday visits to Charleston (10amnoon) and Blackness (1pm-3pm).

Julie Ringsell, of Action on Hearing Loss Scotland, said: “Our new service will reassure many older Dundee residents that getting your hearing checked really is as easy as one, two, three, and will inform them of the benefits which hearing aids bring for people who have their deafness diagnosed as early as possible.”
