ST JOHNSTONE forward Steven MacLean is keen to stay on at the club.

“I still feel good so want to keep on going. Hopefully, it will be at Saints,” said Steven whose former clubs include Rangers.

Steven added: “Chris is a good kid who wants to learn and I feel we complement each other.

“If Chris keeps doing well he can make a good living out of football.

“He wants to learn, he wants to get better and that is great because he can go on to bigger things.

“A player has to realise what he is good at and Chris has shown potential. He is a good player and an instinctive finisher.”

For Saturday’s home game against Motherwell, Saints are minus t he injured Blair Alston, Stefan Scougall, Brian Easton, David McMillan and Callum Hendry.
