Choir to welcome soprano
A CHOIR is preparing a welcome for Irish soprano Margaret Keys at its annual spring concert.
The 30-strong Arbroath Male Voice Choir, drawn from across Angus, Dundee, Fife and t he Mearns, will perform at St A n d r e w ’s C h u rc h in Arbroath tonight.
Members are looking forward to welcoming the return of Royal Scottish Conservatoire graduate Margaret, who has enjoyed huge success since she sang with the group in 2013.
Her highlights have included performances before an audience of 35,000 and alongside Andrea Bocelli and Aretha Franklin for the visit of Pope Francis to the US in 2015.
Choir president Steven Cargill said: “Margaret was a great hit when she last sang with us in 2013 and we can’t wait to hear her again.”
