JOSH Meekings says the displays in draws against Hearts and Celtic shows Dundee have enough to keep themselves in the Premiership.

And he’s backing the Dark Blues to pick up enough points in what he calls “six cup finals”, starting at Ibrox tomorrow.

Meekings and his team-mates return to Glasgow to face third-placed Rangers looking to stay unbeaten through a week that many expected to be a fruitless seven days for the Dark Blues.

The defender said: “We knew before the game on Sunday how tough the week was we had ahead of us and it’s all in our hands now, we’ve got to be the ones to go out and perform.

“If we do that, I feel we have enough to take a good amount of points over the next six games and we’ll look to do that this weekend.

“We’ve got six cup finals now and they’re all massive.

“We know where we are, there’s no denying we need to look around us and be aware but I think if we perform like we did on Wednesday and against Hearts as well then we’ve got enough to pick up a number of points over the next few games.”

This calendar year hasn’t been too kind to Dundee, with only two league victories to their name.

Wednesday night’s stalemate at Celtic, too, was the team’s first shut-out since a 2-0 win at St Johnstone on December 29.

And, though it’s taken too long for that to happen, Meekings is hoping the Dark Blues can build on that between now and the end of the campaign.

He added: “We watch the games back and we’ve seen how poor some of the performances have been and we’re honest enough to understand how big it is and how frustrating it is for the fans.

“We need them to stick with us and it’s up to us now, the next six games have got to be six cup finals and we’ve got to get as many points as we can on the board.
