always knew was there, it was about bringing it out.

“We had spells where we were doing well but we’d chuck a goal away or miss a chance and the game changes.

“It was nice for us to keep a clean sheet on Wednesday.

“We’ve been wanting to tighten up, been working a lot in training and I think that showed on Wednesday.

“We had a good defensive line and we were comfortable. Celtic are always going to be able to cut you open because that’s the quality of their players but I thought we dealt with it.

“In the end, we managed to get a result and a good point to take away.

“Obviously it’s disappointing from our point of view it’s taken that long to get a clean sheet but it’s great to finally get there.

“Now it’s up to us to build on that and take that into the coming games.”

Now, with a good couple of points at their backs keeping a gap of five points to the bottom sides, Ross County and Partick Thistle, Dundee can go to Ibrox with no fear.

Meekings added: “We went to Celtic with a lot of confidence but we know tomorrow isn’t going to be easy, we’re not silly, but we’ll be ready for it and looking forward to the game.

“It’s another lovely place to go to, you want to be playing at Celtic Park and Ibrox, it’s fantastic to go out there and play in front of that many fans.

“Those are the sorts of arenas you want to play in, when you’re a kid you dream of playing in these sorts of places so, hopefully, it brings the best out of us yet again.”
