U/20s feeling moment says

- BY GEORGE CRAN

DUNDEE’S U/20s are just two wins away from a possible title victory after a superb season, and keeper Calum Ferrie says lifting the trophy will be just reward for all their hard work.

Tonight, the young Dark Blues take on fourth-placed Hearts at Montrose’s Links Park at 6pm, hours after leaders Hibs play third-placed Aberdeen.

Then comes a trip to play St Mirren next Monday night with Hibs in action seven days later.

Ferrie said: “If we win both games, it’s all we can do and hope for something to happen for us.

“It’s enjoyable to be part of and, fingers-crossed, we get a reward for all the hard work we’ve put in.

“It’s been enjoyable this year because we feel like a good team and we’re going into every game with confidence.

“One of the lads said it feels like we’re going into games and thinking ‘we’re going to win today’ and we feel invincible in a way because we’re playing good football and know goals are going to come.

“This year we’re a very close unit. We’ve had a lot of new boys this term but we’re a tight-knit group and we all get along.

“There’s no real arguments between the group, if there are they get sorted quickly.

“I think we all take responsibility, which is a big thing as well.

“We look after each other on the pitch and off it.

“Last season we struggled a bit and finished fourth bottom.

“There was a lot of chopping and changing with boys leaving halfway through the season and there were a lot of old boys and new boys who didn’t really mix.

“This year, though, there’s a real connection.”

Since the turn of the year, the Development side have really been motoring, picking up win after win as they put an iffy mid-season spell behind them.

Ferrie added: “Results started picking up and mid-season we had a bit of a drop but we picked back up and I think it’s 12 unbeaten with 11 wins in a
