A YOUNG Dundee FC player said he was “buzzing” after his appearance at last night’s Champions League semifinal at Anfield.

Charley Oosenbrugh, eight, walked out with stars including former Dundee United player Andy Robertson as part of the first-leg clash between Liverpool and Roma.

Charley and his father Colin, 36, said it had been a “great experience” watching Liverpool win 5-2 from the Kenny Dalglish Stand.

Colin, originally from the Craigie area, said: “My wife, Jemma, entered the mascot competition via Mastercard and we got the news last Friday. “We never expected to win. “When we got the news, we had to film Charley getting his mascot ball and T-shirt on the Saturday — he was absolutely beaming.”

Charley, part of Dundee FC’s Youth Academy, had to get “special permission” from his gaffer to miss a match against Hibs yesterday evening.

Colin added: “This was a great experience for Charley and we knew, given it was Anfield, what an incredible atmosphere there was going to be.

“Charley was meant to be playing against Hibs last night.

“I think his gaffer knew it was too good an opportunity to miss.

“It’s a one-off, so he got special permission to attend the game.”

Charley, a pupil at Inchture Primary, told classmates and friends of the family earlier this week that he had been selected for the experience.

Colin said: “We posted a picture of him
