It’s ‘go hard for Dundee

- BY GEORGE CRAN

IT’S a case of “go hard or go home” tomorrow at Motherwell for Dundee, according to midfield man Mark O’Hara.

The Dark Blues can give their survival bid a huge lift with a second win on the bounce since the split, though they face a testing trip to League and Scottish Cup finalists ’Well.

O’Hara and his team-mates have a good record at Fir Park and he’s keen to keep that going. However, he knows it won’t be easy.

He said: “It’s go hard or go home against Motherwell.

“There’s no space for any passengers, we’ll all have to be at it 100%.

“Motherwell is one of the toughest games in the league.

“I’ve watched them a few times this season and they are a very strong, physical side and play some good football so we’ll need to be at our best.

“It’s going to be a battle, they’ve had a great season – that’s something we’d like to emulate here, to get to a cup final.

“For them to get to two is a massive achievement and it would be a good scalp for us to get a win tomorrow.”

O’Hara and his team-mates go into tomorrow’s game on the back of “a massive result” against St Johnstone and the former Killie man revealed there was some added bite to the game after the way their previous encounter ended.

In t he build-up to t he game, managers Neil McCann and Tommy Wright had engaged in a war of words through the press.

That didn’t affect the players, though they were keen to get one over the Saints boss.

O’Hara added: “It didn’t affect us, though, we did see Tommy Wright’s quotes from the last game.

“It wasn’t cheeky but it was a bit patronising and it didn’t ruffle us up or anything but it was there and the manager made sure we were aware of his comments.

“During the week they were up on the wall so there was a bit of extra bite in the game last Saturday.

“The atmosphere was a bit feisty and it made for a good game.

“The late goal as well there was a special feeling. It was feisty, as I say, and to have a setback but then go and get the winner was brilliant for us.

“It was a massive result. We’ve performed well the last few games although we didn’t get much to show for
