Bluebells look to get back to winning ways

-

LOCHEE United ended their losing run with a win over Forfar West End on Monday.

However, they looked off the pace again on Wednesday as they lost 2-1 away at Kennoway.

The Fifers opened the scoring in 16 minutes and added another 15 minutes from time before Greg Kirk pulled one back with five minutes to go.

Manager George Shields will be hoping the two day break enables them to freshen up for the Super League visit of Newtongrange.

Forfar West End head to Camelon hoping to avoid a hat-trick of away defeats in a week.

The Super League bottom markers lost 3-2 at Lochee United on Monday.

They then lost by the odd goal in three at Carnoustie two days later.

That was despite Jamie McCabe giving them a first minute lead with Dayle Robertson and Ryan Roach hitting back with goals for the Gowfers.

After those exertions, team boss Daryl McKenzie will make a late selection.

Following last week’s 7-0 home thrashing at Carnoustie’s hands, when six regulars were missing, player-boss Ross Gunnion, Lee Deans and Andy McKenzie, return to the Jeanfield squad for the trip to Hill of Beath.

In addition, fitness tests will decide if Rhys Davies and Tony Holt are available. However, Scott Mollison is ruled out.
