“But it is really just doing my job and I don’t think about it too much.

“After that one there was a corner coming over straight away and that’s what I was thinking about.

“For a goalkeeper the thing most like scoring a goal is keeping a clean sheet, so I don’t spend too much time thinking about individual saves.

“On Tuesday, they helped us get a draw and because they had those couple of opportunities it was probably fair.

“There were definitely chances for us to win the game but to come in 0-0 with the second leg to look forward to at Tannadice, we feel it’s not a bad position to be in.”

For the 25-year-old, tonight will be his first involvement in a game where defeat brings the entire season to an abrupt halt.

As someone who treats every time he runs out as being of equal importance, that’s not something that will make him unduly nervous.

“I’ve been enjoying my football for the past month or so now and it’s just a matter of taking each game as it comes and helping the team as much as I can, seeing how far we can go.

“I am a bit of a believer that your next game is always the biggest game of your career, so for me every game I play is a big one, no matter what is at stake.”

And so long as that next big game is back at Tannadice on Monday, he’ll be happy.
