Saint McMillan looking forward

-

ST JOHNSTONE striker David McMillan is looking to “kick on” next season.

Signed from Dundalk in January, David, who scored seven Champions League goals for the Republic of Ireland side, has spent most of his time with Saints on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

However, he scored after coming on as a substitute in the 5-1 away trouncing of Motherwell and also from a penalty in the away 2-1 win over Hamilton – a game he started.

David went on: “I’ve settled i n well and am looking f orward t o t he pre-season.

“It was frustrating being out injured for so long so I want t o get as fit as I possibly can.

“I really didn’t want the season to end as I was playing and scoring but it has and I am preparing for next season.

“I want to play and score goals. That is my aim. I’m determined to contribute.

“The lads at the club all get on brilliantly. They are a great group.”

Meanwhile, Murray Davidson and Scott Tanser have re-signed, Davidson for two years and Tanser for one. Davidson has been with Saints for nine years and Tanser for one.

Steven Anderson, the club’s l ongest serving player, is thought likely to sign a new deal later this week.

Meanwhile, Saints U/17 keeper Ross Sinclair is on trial with Liverpool.

He played for their U/23s in a friendly against Panjab FC which Liverpool won 4-1.
