Livi will be up against it next year

-

LIVINGSTON’S promotion was a great achievement and just shows how far organisation and belief can take you.

It depends on how they look at next season in the Premiership but you’ve got to expect them to struggle.

If they go with the ‘anything is a bonus’ outlook – a bit like Brechin in the Championship this season (and everyone knows how that ended) – they’ll be relegation candidates right from the start.

However, if they decide to go for it and throw a bit of money at players to try to survive, that might put them in trouble further down the line if they still end up going down.

And with their history of financial problems, you’d think they’ll have learned their lesson.

They could be the new Hamilton, however.

There are a lot of similarities – a good youth set-up, though that’s stumbled recently, not a big support and a style that upsets the other teams.

The players do love defending, however, and their spirit will make them competitive. There’s only so far that can take you, though.

CELTIC’S second-straight treble is a great achievement. Not an unexpected one, however. Hoops fans are loving it but it didn’t exactly blow me out of the water when they sealed it. It’ll be tough to do it again next year but they are so strong they just might make it a treble treble.
