Forfarshire confident despite star’s absence
THERE are some cracking cricket matches in store over the weekend.
Forfarshire, on the back of a big league win over Aberdeenshire, travel to Edinburgh to face RH Corstorphine.
The hosts wil be looking towards star man Majid Haq to propel them to victory.
The Dundee outfit are without Scotland star Micheal Leask but are still looking very strong with many players performing well, especially young all- rounder Scott Cameron.
Aberdeenshire host Carlton at Mannofield hoping to keep their 100% home record in tact.
At Lochlands, Arbroath will sense an opportunity playing against t he unbeaten Grange, as star batters Preston Mommsen and Dylan Budge are both away on Scotland duty.
The Edinburgh side will still be strong and will be favourites for this tie.
However, Arbroath always put up a fight and will be looking towards pro Withanawasum and the rest of the crew to get the points.
At GIlvenbank, Glenrothes will be looking to secure there first win of the season in what is a bottom-of-the-table game against Stewarts Melville.
Both teams have struggled so far with the Edinburgh side winning only their first game of the season last week. The game could depend on whether Glenrothes’ star man Safyann Sharif or Stewarts Melville pro Pillai perform on the day.
Heriots will be favourites when they host Watsonians at Goldenacre. Grange is the place to be on Sunday when Scotland take England in a ODI.
