Dancing On Ice star at Dundee

ICE Coaching Elite will welcome Dancing On Ice Star, and this year’s runner-up, Matej Silecky (above) to their Summer Training Camp.

Matej will join the world-class coaching team at the camp which takes place at Dundee Ice Arena from Monday, July 23 to Friday, July 27.

The camp will welcome skaters from all across the world, headed by resident Team GB Olympic coaches Simon Briggs and Debi Briggs, alongside special guest coaches and Olympians Jenna McCorkell and Kevin Van Der Perren.

Matej Silecky is a pro-skater and is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where he was team captain of the Cal Figure Skating Team. He was the 2012 US Collegiate Junior Mens Champion, previous US Regional Novice and Junior Mens Champion, and has qualified for US Sectionals and Nationals many times in Mens Singles and Pairs.

Simon Briggs said: “We are very excited to announce that Matej will be joining our team this year.

“He will bring a lot of experience to the camp that will benefit all of the skaters coming to train.

“As well as his on-ice and recent performing experience on Dancing On Ice, he has extensive training, competitive and performance experience in ballet, competitive ballroom, lyrical, folk dance and hip-hop, which we know will add to what the skaters will take away from this year’s camp.”
