Murder mystery at theatre

YOUNG performers from ch a r i t y Pe r t h Au t i s m Support will be participating in the city’s annual Youth Arts Festival for the fourth year running.

The Youth Theatre group – a joint venture between Perth Autism Support and Horsecross Arts – will perform a murder mystery.

Teri Slorach, children’s services manager at Perth Autism Support, said: “Every year, the staff and volunteers at Perth Autism Support, led by our wonderful Horsecross drama coach, support our young performers to act out a range of emotions i n a safe environment.

“This encourages the performers t o express themselves both verbally and through body l anguage, something those on the autism spectrum can find challenging.

“The festival gives them the opportunity to step into the limelight in front of their families, peers and the public, which gives them a confidence boost.”
