Cannabis farm in spare room
A FISHMONGER told his girlfriend a £20,000 cannabis farm hidden inside a tent in their spare room was a home gym.
Leszek Gapski, 33, of John Street, Arbroath, told police he bought the cultivating equipment at a car boot sale, and was going to throw the haul “into the river”.
The court heard police raided Gapski’s home in June last year.
Fiscal depute Nicola Gillespie said 38 fully-grown plants were found, together with fans, dehumidifiers and lighting units.
Gapski admitted producing and being concerned in the supply of cannabis between April 1 and June 1 last year at an address on Trinity Road, Brechin. Sheriff Alastair Carmichael deferred sentence until next month and released him on bail.
