FROM high school best friends to husband and wife 11 years later. The new Mr and Mrs Horsburgh had to make sure it was right.

Andrea, 28, and Jason, 29, met when they were at school in Anstruther and became best friends.

In sixth year their relationship took a step up, although Jason admits their parents probably knew they would become a couple before they did.

“We were really good friends and when we got together it just kind of happened,” he added.

The pair moved to Tayside to attend university with the pair now living in Errol. Andrea is a nurse at Perth Royal Infirmary and Jason is a programmer at Games Studio.

After making Andrea wait a decade, Jason finally popped the question in March last year on their 10th anniversary.

“Well I had to make sure it was right before I proposed didn’t I?” he joked.

The proposal came at home following a celebratory dinner and Andrea was happy that it was not a big event.

She said: “It was very low key which is exactly how I wanted it.

“The wedding itself was the same, but all the important people were there.”

On May 19 the pair said “I do” at Fingask Castle. As the weather was beautiful they were able to have their dream outdoor ceremony.

Jason said: “It was a perfect day. We were able to have our weddingg outside which allowed us to see the whole beauty of Fingask Castle.”

Andrea added: “I was so worried before the wedding but literally nothing went wrong the whole day.”

The bride was walked down the aisle by dad Alan Collins and also had bridesmaids Amy Collins and Abbie Horsburgh.

Her four-year-old niece Mia Mayberry almost stole the show as the picture perfect flowergirl in a beautiful white dress.

“Mia did really well the whole day and even managed to stay clean. I was very impressed,” Andrea added.

Following speeches from the groom and his best man, Ross Watt, the newlyweds performed their first dance to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perry.

The night was filled with dancing from ceilidh music to more up-to-date songs – all the guests were up on their feet.

Adorning their Fisher and Donaldson cakeca was a Disney inspired topper with the coupleco wanting a small hint of Disney incorporatedin as they are both big fans and visitvi most years.

“The cake tasted amazing and we were ableab to have a touch of Disney too, we didn’tdi want to go overboard with it,” AndreaA said.

The pair will soon be jetting off on their honeymoonho – a trip to San Francisco and Hawaii.H

Mr and Mrs Horsburgh would like to thankth Sandra from Downfield PhotographyPh for the fantastic photos of the dayda and also their families and friends who madem the day “perfect”.

They added: “It was just such an amazingin day, it really was perfect.”
