SHIEL JOINS SQUAD FOR INJURED PRICE

EDINBURGH’S Charlie Shiel has been called up to the Scotland squad as an injury replacement for Ali Price.

The 20-year-old scrumhalf, son of former Scotland international Graham Shiel, has played at under-16, under-18 and under-20 level for his country.

Glasgow Warriors’ Price picked up a groin injury in the opening match of the summer tour, a 48-10 win over Canada in Edmonton.

Following further assessments in Houston, Texas – where Scotland play their next fixture against the United States this weekend – Price was ruled out of the rest of the tour.
