United just have to get it right

-

DUNDEE United still have plenty of work to do in the transfer market.

I’d expect their business to hot up over the next couple of weeks with people coming back from holiday over the next few days.

What they have to do is make sure they get the right men in, however.

With big gaps in the squad and probably about six players needed, the temptation might be just to snap up the first name that comes along to make up the numbers.

The Tangerines just can’t afford to make the mistake of bringing in players to do that.

That accusation could easily be thrown at Csaba Laszlo (above) in the winter when it seemed he was so concerned about the amount of matches still to play and went for quantity rather than wait for quality.

Players like Emil Lyng, Craig Slater and Brandon Mason weren’t anywhere near good enough to help the club to promotion.

Early signs are good for transfer business at Tannadice but they definitely need to step it up.
