Flynn in at Blue Brazil

C OW D E N B E AT H are closing in on the signing of one-time Dundee United midfielder Matty Flynn after the 30-year-old knocked back an offer from Berwick Rangers to head for Central Park.

Flynn played with Brechin City and Stenhousem­uir after l eaving Tannadice before having a successful three-year period at Annan which ended last summer when he headed for Clyde.

A groin injury blighted his time with the Bully Wee and he only made eight appearance­s last season before requiring surgery.

Flynn was released last month by Clyde and Blue Brazil boss Gary Bollan
