Car crashes into fence on city bridge
POLICE were called to a busy Perth road after a car careered into a fence on a city bridge – having crashed into another car minutes before.
Officers rushed to St Leonard’s Bridge around 6.50pm on Friday.
A 47-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident.
Police later discovered the blue Toyota Yaris had collided with another vehicle on Craigie Road before coming to a halt on the bridge, which Railway Station.
No one was injured but the driver was checked over by paramedics at the scene as a precaution following the collision.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland attended at St Leonard’s Bridge in Perth around 6.50pm on Friday in response to a reported road traffic collision. is near to Perth
“A blue Toyota Yaris had collided with a fence and was unable to move.
“Further investigation linked this vehicle to another road traffic collision on Craigie Road, Perth, a few minutes previously.
“A 47-year-old man was arrested at the scene, and was subsequently charged with a number of offences relating to both incidents. He was later released and is to be reported to the procurator fiscal.”
