We should be proud of unis

THE sight of thousands of students flooding into City Square has become a big part of Dundee’s calendar and it’s great to see.

Our city has had a lot of publicity recently for the Waterfront and so on, but many people forget the great work taking place here in academia and education.

The fact that so many people choose our city to further their learning is testament to how good our universities are.

As a city, we’re the envy of many other places when it comes to training up people who go on to lead their various areas of expertise.

Many of us might never make it to university ourselves but we should be proud that our city is giving so many young people the tools they need for a bright future.
