Shipbuilders were the surprise package
ONE side who could spring a few surprises next season are East Craigie.
The Shipbuilders were forced to play all their games away from home for the first three months of the term due to dressing-room renovations.
However, they finished strongly, culminating in their first cup final appearance for many years when they met Carnoustie in the GA Engineering Cup at Tannadice Park.
Despite playing 80 minutes with 10 men, Craigie more than held t heir own and were unlucky to miss out on the trophy in a penalty shoot-out.
Co-managers Sean Wilkie and Craig Brown will be confident of mounting a serious challenge next season but their big problem might be holding on to some of their talented players.
Scone Thistle had an up-and-down season, finishing sixth in the table.
They won 15 of their games, drew two and lost nine, which gave them a total of 47 points.
Blairgowrie finished in midtable with 41 points.
Lack of consistency cost the Berrypickers any chance of being involved in the promotion shake-up.
