City’s gull problem

HOW do you keep hundreds of hungry birds away from people and ensure they don’t nick our food or attack us?

If anyone knew the answer to that, we wouldn’t be hearing countless tales involving Dundee’s plucky gulls (see page 18).

The council is limited in what it can do, and the gulls are only trying to survive. We can do our bit by keeping our streets tidy and clear of items they’ll take an interest in.
