Tommy to tinker with his team

-

ST JOHNSTONE manager Tommy Wright may make changes for tonight’s away game against Hamilton.

The Perth club are in the midst of a heavy programme and Tommy said he is likely to rotate his squad.

Scott Tanser has a niggling knock but he managed to play against Celtic.

It’s hoped he will be OK for tonight’s game.

Sean Goss made his Saints debut against Celtic.

The on-loan QPR midfielder did well in the middle of the park and may line up against Hamilton.

The former Manchester United man has struggled for first-team game time since his move to QPR and said he is delighted to get back to playing top team football.

“I really enjoyed playing against Celtic,” he said.

“However, I was very disappointed with the result.

“That was my first competitive game for quite a while so it just felt great to be back out there again.

“I only met the rest of the boys the day before so it was a quick introduction to the Saints playing side.”

Goss, who had a spell at Rangers, went on: “It’s been a frustrating time for me up till now.

“I haven’t really played much this season at top level so it was nice to get some minutes under my belt.

“I probably wasn’t expecting to play 80 minutes but I was more than happy to.”

Sean was happy with the form Saints showed against Celtic despite the fact they lost 2-0.

He commented: “I thought we created chances and, on another day, we could have been in front.

“The boys all dug in deep and we kept our shape well for the majority of the game. However, sloppy mistakes cost us.”
