Teenager pleads guilty to possessing indecent images of children

A TEENAGER has been placed on the sex offenders register after pleading guilty to possessing indecent images of children and video footage of women having sex with animals.

The 17-year-old male, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was caught with 584 still images and 145 videos, with a total running time of two hours and 15 minutes.

The teen, from Angus, was also caught with five minutes’ worth of videos explicitly showing women having sex with dogs and a small horse.

All of the material was found on a mobile phone and tablet.

There was also evidence of the teen sharing files with others, sending and receiving them via a messenger account.

Of the sickening still images found, 154 of them were category A, the most severe in nature.

A fur ther 154 were category B and 276 of them were category C.

Of the videos found, 54 were category A, 55 were category B and 36 were category C.

The teen admitted taking, permitting to being taken or making indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of children, at his home address, between June 9 2015 and April 13 last year.

And he admitted having extreme pornographic images between August 19 2015 and September 1 2015.

He also admitted distributing or showing indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of children, between November 29 2016 and February 15 last year.

The teenager appeared at Dundee Sheriff Cour t, where he had sentence deferred until March 13 and was placed on the sex offenders register.
