Armed robbery at store

POLICE are appealing for informatio­n after a robbery at a Forfar newsagents.

The incident took place on Saturday night, at around 8.50pm, when a man made his way into the shop armed with weapons.

He then threatened staff and stole money before making off.

The man then ran down Glenogil Terrace and out of sight. He is described as a white male, of slim build and he was wearing a black jacket, hooded top, dark face mask, gloves, dark grey trousers and black footwear.

A police spokesman said: “If anybody recognises the male or has observed the male in the area before or after the crime, or has any informatio­n about this crime, then police would like to speak to them.
