Crowds love Rotary show
PUNTERS packed into the Little Theatre on Victoria Road recently to enjoy the sell-out Rotary Showtime Dundee event.
The show, coordinated by the Rotary Club of Claverhouse and folk singer Liz Crawford, featured eight talented acts from the city. All performers gave their time to raise funds for Dundee Bairns, a charity recently established to provide food to children in deprived areas of the city. Acts included folk singer Pat Cunningham, tenor David WilsonWynne and fiddling sextet Fiddlin’ Freends.
Former Dundee City Council chief executive and Dundee Bairns Charity founder David Dorward said: “The Rotary Showtime Dundee event has been just a wonderful way of raising the profile of our local charity.”
Ian Balgowan, president of the Rotary Club of Claverhouse, added: “The response from local artistes and groups has been outstanding.”
