Caley’s cup inspiration
INVERNESS Caley Thistle forward Jordan White is taking inspiration from the Highlanders’ rich Scottish Cup pedigree in his pursuit of a quarter-final berth tonight.
Inverness take on rivals Ross County in tonight’s Highland derby last-16 encounter at Victoria Park, with the draw for the following round taking place immediately afterwards.
White said: “Everybody knows the history the club has had in the Scottish Cup.
“It’s not so long ago they won it. I t ’s a g r e a t opportunity to get to the quarter-finals – you never know who you are going to get there.
“It could be the start of something special.
“Not just that, it could kick us on and give us that wee boost in the league as well.
“We know how much this game means to the club and the fans.”
