’Noull docked points and fined after rule breach over player

- BY JAMES MASSON

KINNOULL’S recent 3-1 away North League win against North End has been reversed to a 1-0 victory for the Dundee side.

The Perth outfit have incurred this penalty as it was deemed they fielded an ineligible player, goalkeeper Lukasz Osinski, in the game. However, Kinnoull may appeal the decision. Kinnoull chairman Steve Chatila said: “We signed Lukasz at the start of the season from a Perth amateur club and he has been playing regularly for us.

“That club had reinstated him at a previous date from a club he had been playing for in his native Poland.

“However, it is now being claimed he should have been re-instated to us as well despite the fact his re-instatement from Poland to the amateur club went through several years ago.

“As far as we are concerned, we have done everything by the book.

“When we registered Lukasz at the start of the season nothing was said and it’s only now the matter has been raised.”

The Tulloch Park outfit were also fined £100 by the governing body.

Meanwhile, ’Noull, are odds on to collect three points at Coupar Angus tomorrow. George Hughes returns to the Perth squad which could include a new signing. Coupar will have new recruit Gary Mackie in their squad plus one or two trialists.

Scone Thistle can go top, provided they defeat fellow-promotion contenders East Craigie at Farquharson Park tomorrow.

Thistle hope to have Lee Maloney available to face his former club after he joined them from Coupar Angus in a swap deal which saw Gary Mackie head to Foxhall Park.

Craigie are unlikely to show many changes from the side that beat Coupar Angus last week.

With just two points separating Brechin Vics and Blairgowrie, their clash at Victoria Park looks like being a close affair. Steven Eaton is the hosts’ only absentee. Blair are without Gordon Pirie, Robbie Hood and the suspended Gordon Norrie.

Forfar Albion welcome Arbroath Vics to Guthrie Park. Included in Vics squad is striker Zac Archer, signed from Montrose Roselea and who impressed on debut last Saturday.
