DUSC were merciless against Cannon Fodder who actually scored straight from the kick-off,
Johnny McLeod’s first touch on his debut lobbing the DUSC keeper.
That was as good as it got for Fodder who ended up losing 10-2, George
Scott also netting.
Lochee Celtic overcame
Sporting Club of Tayside 10-1.
North End saw off another new team,
Athletico Monifieth 5-1.
The all Second Division clash between Finlathen and Craigie was a cracker.
With Craigie leading 3-1 with 10 minutes left,
Finlathen turned the game around to win 4-3.
Their reward is a last 16 clash against Park Tool who kept their nerve in the spot-kicks, having drawn 1-1 against Occidental in regulation time.
The rest of the new clubs all lost, with Kirkton being beaten 6-1 by the Bankies who will play Cairdy
Thistle after their 5-2 win over Ardler.
Riverside Athletic found the going tough, losing 2-0 to The Beat who play
Clark’s this weekend.
Clark’s won 5-4 over
Lochee Albion.
Whitfield Tavern looked handy in the pre-season games but were put to the sword by Dryburgh CC in a 9-2 defeat.
Dryburgh face off against Powrie who beat
Dundee West 6-4.
West started with nine men.
Dylan Phillips appeared late for them and bagged all four goals as they tried to get back into the match.
The pick was a 30-yarder into the top corner.
Polepark lost 5-1 in their first competitive game.
This set up the tie of the last 16 against The
Maidens.
Maidens finished strongly against Riverside
CSC. It was 1-1 at the break and 3-3 with 20 minutes to play. Then Maidens struck six times without reply.
Fintry Athletic’s 7-3 win over Kelso sees them take on Charlie’s Accies who came from behind to beat
FC Spartak 3-2.
