Rangers midfield man Holt being linked with move to St Johnstone

-

REPORTS are circulating claiming Rangers midfielder Jason Holt is a loan target for St Johnstone.

Saints have not commented but this is not the first time Holt’s name has been linked with the McDiarmid Park club.

A few weeks back, there was speculation that the former Hearts man and a n o t h e r R a n g e r, J o e Dodoo, were targets for the Perth men.

Dodoo has already been on loan at Charlton and Blackpool.

Holt has made nearly 100 appearances for Rangers but was loaned to Fleetwood last season.

Meanwhile, Saints keeper Zander Clark i s looking to keep his good form going against Hibs at Easter Road on Saturday.

He signed a fresh twoyear contract with the club earlier this month and celebrated with a fine showing in the 2-2 home divide against Livingston, including saving a spot-kick and making a great stop from a Scott Pittman effort.

He said: “I’m looking forward to Saturday and the rest of the season.

“I’ve now played over 100 games for Saints who have been supportive of me since I came into the club 11 years ago.

“I’m positive about what the future holds.”

Some of Saints’ younger players are attracting attention.

Manchester City, Everton and Celtic were at their home youth friendly against Manchester United on Tuesday night. Man U have also been at other Saints youth matches.

Meanwhile, Rowan Vine, who was believed to be acting for striker Stevie May in a potential move to Saints from Aberdeen, has found himself a new club.

The forward has joined up with Tadley-Calleva of the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division.
