United could stick with team as Robbie looks for more of the same

-

ROBBIE Neilson is looking for more of the same from Dundee United as they aim to make it three Championship wins in a row as they travel to face Dunfermline tomorrow.

And that’s could see him name another unchanged starting line-up.

The Tangerines have won their opening two fixtures i n contrasting style, cruising to a 4-1 success over Inverness Caley Thistle i n their opener, but having to battle back from a goal down to take the points at Partick Thistle last time out.

As well as maximum points, the gaffer was able to take plenty of positives from those displays.

“I’ve been happy with both performances so far, the results were good and a lot of the play as well,” said Robbie.

“It will be t ough at Dunfermline, though, because I expect them to be a top-four team this season.”

After his winner when coming off the bench at Firhill, Peter Pawlett is fit enough to be considered for starting place at East End Park. However, it looks likely Robbie with go with the XI t h a t ’s taken maximum points so far.

“We have everyone fit and that is the main thing,” added the gaffer.

“Not having a game last weekend was not ideal but it did give us a chance to work the boys in training.

“We’ve also been able to get the ones who needed it more game time in bounce matches and also with the reserves starting up again.

“It gives me plenty options for this game.”

United will come up against former striker Ryan Dow and in-form summer signing Kevin Nisbet – two men Robbie knows will have to be dealt with.

“Their front men have been doing well. They’ve good energy and Nisbet has been getting goals.”
